Student Poster Contest WVCTM invites students from PK through college to participate in the 2026 WVCTM Poster Contest. Students in PK–8 will create posters inspired by this year’s conference theme, “Math Will Take You Far.” Students in grades 9–12 and college will design posters that will be considered in selecting the theme for the 2027 WVCTM Conference. This opportunity is free to West Virginia educators. On November 17th, we will be joined by Howia Hua. Howie Hua is a math instructor at Fresno State University known for his viral, accessible math education content on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter). Passionate about humanizing mathematics, he teaches future elementary school teachers and advocates for showing everyone they are “math people” by focusing on conceptual understanding, visual learning, and reducing math anxiety.  Registration will open in the fall.
